I have been slowly gaining weight for over 25 years now.

It has always “been time to do something” about that, but I never have.  However, I’ve also been kind of a “closet” dieter.  I’ve never told anyone I was planning on loosing weight, so when it didn’t happen, nobody noticed but me.

However, this time, I’m going public.  I’m telling everyone I know what my goal is.  If I fail, everyone will know.

As of this writing (September 18 2009) I weigh 255 pounds.

As of this writing (September 21, 2010) I weigh 237 pounds.

My goal is to be 230 pounds by June 18th 2009.

My goal is to be 220 pounds by December 13th, 2010.

That is not my final goal, but it is an initial “first second step”.

Most of the posts on this Blog will likely be terribly boring.  I am taking a class called DSS (more on that later) and a big part of that class is tracking what you are doing.  So, at least as fair as this weight loss goal is concerned . . . consider this my “very public” tracking homework.
